Starting my contribution to WordPress: why did I choose Polyglots?

I decided to focus on Polyglots, the area responsible for translations. I chose this area primarily because it seemed both accessible and useful. It does not require advanced programming knowledge, though it does require a solid understanding of the language and the context of the material being translated. I was also drawn to the impact it has, as it makes it easier for more people to use WordPress in our local language.

Before starting, I had some knowledge of English, but I had never worked on technical translations neither collaborative platform like WordPress. This presented an interesting challenge for me, as it involved not just translating words, but understanding their usage within the system.

As a first step, I created an account on WordPress.org, which is necessary to make contributions. From there, I began this process with the goal of learning, contributing, and documenting every stage of my progress.
